First Half of December

The boys making gingerbread houses with Grandma P.  They came to visit and Reed and I tried to finish our Christmas shopping up:
At the beginning of December Reed did the Polar Bear plunge to help raise money for Special Olympics.  Here is the awesome outfit that his team wore:
The temperature was right around freezing that night and people could buy bags of ice to lower the temperature of the water.  I think the water temp ended up at 36 degrees F.  I took the kids to watch.  It was pretty crazy to try to keep all of them close to me in the huge crowd and we couldn't get closer to the pool so I just took pictures of the screen that televised everything.  Here is Reed standing at the edge of the pool, getting ready to jump in:
 And the jump:
Reed said it wasn't as bad as he was expecting.  They had a hot tub for them to climb in after their jump and then they got changed.
A random picture of Brooklyn at 5 months:
In the middle of December we had our ward Christmas party.  We dressed our kids up in their new Sunday outfits for it and tried to take pictures before we went.
Here is a nice one of Micah and Conner:
And here's one that shows more of reality, especially when trying to get pictures of the kids:
Trying to get a picture of our 3 handsome boys:
This was the first time that I tried putting Brooklyn's hair in pony tail:
 Our 4 kiddos:
I think we are about done with pictures:
The kids acted out the Nativity.  Alan was a sheep and Conner wanted nothing to do with it so he stayed at our table:
Santa made an appearance at the end.  Conner and Santa:
 Alan and Santa:
Micah and Santa.  None of the boys were shy around Santa this year:
We got a real tree this year.  We had fun decorating it:
Micah put a couple of ornaments on and then he started taking them off again.  The boys were pretty excited to help me water the tree everyday:

Thanksgiving 2012

We spent American Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa B.'s house this year.  We arrived there on Wednesday night.  We waited until Friday to actually celebrate Thanksgiving with all of the family that was in town so on Thursday we got some projects done.
The boys went and picked up the hay that was going to be used for a hayride later:

Of course they had to have a hay ride to try it out:
Then the boys worked on draining the fluids out of the old truck and van:
Alan and Conner were thrilled to be a part of the action:
Meanwhile, Grandma read stories to Micah and Brooklyn:
The boys thought this was so funny.  Micah is trapped underneath but he is laughing his head off.
Alan and Conner pulled the wish bone apart:
Grandpa and Micah:
Micah loves to help in the kitchen:
Grandma showing Alan and Conner how to play table tennis:
On Friday we had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner.  We got to see Grandma and Grandpa Walker, plus Jacque and Spencer were there and Ken and Shelly.  Apparently I didn't take any pictures.
The next day we went to the temple while Grandma and Grandpa watched all the kids.  Thanks again!
Caden, Alan, Conner and Micah having a snack:
The kids going on a hayride with the dads:

When they got back the kids begged to go again so the moms took a turn:
Then we went bowling.  Here is Alan showing us how its done:
Conner watching to see if his ball will knock down any pins:

The oldest grand daughter and the youngest.  Kailyn holding Brooklyn:
Then we headed home.  The roads got snowy and bad as we got closer to home.  We had to stop and wait while they cleared the road of an accident.  As we got closer to home all 4 kids fell asleep, an extremely rare event:

Random Pictures from September, October, and November

Just some random pictures that I wanted to post:
September 20th - Conner still likes to hold Brooklyn:
September 26th - Baby smiles!!!  Brooklyn started smiling when she was about a month old but these are the first ones we caught on camera:

Oct. 2nd - Conner's first day of Joy School, waiting for his ride.  He has enjoyed the experience - especially the songs and crafts.
Oct. 26th - Alan and Conner playing the wii with their friends, Alex and Josh
Nov. 2nd - we heard that the leaf vacuum was coming to our street soon so we all started raking:
team work:
Brooklyn watching us work:
Micah didn't want to use the little plastic rake, he wanted the real thing!
November 14th - our first snow fall.  The boys were SO excited to make snowmen.

Micah had a hard time staying on his feet - he would fall and then he couldn't get back up because of his bulky snow suit:
Alan rolling a snowball while Micah lays beside him:
Conner rolling the bottom of the snow man:
The finished product with a couple more in the making:
